A book signing for "Blueberries for the Queen" will be held from 1 to 4. The children's book, written by John and Katherine Paterson and illustrated by Susan Jeffers, is based upon John's experience as a child, when in the summer of 1942, he brought blueberries to Queen Wilhelmina of Holland who, at the time, was living in the home that is now Devonfield. Canoe trip

Those interested can join Berkshire Wildlife Sanctuaries Director Rene Laubach for a four-hour, five-mile naturalist-led canoe trip on the Housatonic River in Lenox. Children must be over 10 years old, know how to swim and be accompanied by an adult. Canoes, paddles, personal flotation devices available at $20 per person. Meet at 9 at the Mary Decker Boat Access on New Lenox Road, Lenox, and canoe to Woods Pond. Bring food, drink, sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat. Wear shoes that can get wet/muddy. Mass MoCA

Performance artist William Pope.L will present the "Black Factory" -- an interactive traveling box truck which includes a library to keep a record of ideas and artifacts, from 11 to 3. It is also a performance art work in motion with a musical puppet show. Visitors can bring objects that represent their ideas of or associations with "blackness." Items can be donated or photographed for an online archive. Carriage Driving Show

The Colonial Carriage and Driving Society will present the sixth annual Pleasure Driving Show at 9. Summer Solstice Sun Shine
